It doesn’t matter if you are a professional athlete or an accountant, you still have to eat in order to get energy. The most important meal of the day is your breakfast, and the quality of your diet will affect your life no matter what you do. We talked to some of the best personal trainers in Toronto together with the trainers at Best Personal Training Whitby and the story they told us was the same we heard from the Oshawa in-home personal trainers. And that was: getting a good breakfast will give you energy for an entire day and eating good early in the morning will decrease the chance of overeating later in the day.
Oatmeal – some people don’t like it for the taste, but there are many ways to prepare an oatmeal. Served with milk or soft Greek yoghurt, it is a great way to start your day. If you don’t like it alone, you can add corn flakes or dried fruit, sweeten it with honey or get creative with other flavors, as long as it is good with your diet plan. Oatmeal is high in fibers and it’s rich with various vitamins and substances like iron, vitamin B-6, potassium and others. Oatmeal helps lower the cholesterol and helps your heart and blood vessels.
Greek yoghurt – we mentioned it before as a perfect combo with the oatmeal, but it can be a stand alone star of your morning table. This type of yoghurt doubles the protein value of regular yoghurt and it’s creamy texture will make it your favorite morning treat. There is no need to cook or prepare Greek yoghurt, take it on the go, in your car or on a break, depending on your schedule. It is also loaded with calcium, making your bones hard as a rock.

It can’t be your whole breakfast, as you need to combine it with some high protein food or some other food from our list, but eating half a grapefruit every morning will do wanders for you. If you are trying to lose weight, this is perfect for you, since grapefruit is dubbed the diet fruit. It straight forward burns fat, energizes you, hydrates your body and gives you a lot of vitamins. So, what’s not to like?
